Closed - The X Part 1


The X : 10 people x 10 cities

'The X' is an ongoing campaign - first launched in season Autumn/Winter 2010 - that celebrates individualism and variety, creativity and location. Ten innovators in ten cities around the world comprise the talent pool for this debut campaign. Real people leading real lives in the creative industries - most of whom have relocated to another urban centre: a green activist, who happens to be a restaurateur and biking fan from Hong Kong. A finance specialist from Buenos Aires, now based in London with entrepreneurial interests in high grade organic teas. An American choreographer responsible for the Rolling Stones world tours and several catwalk shows for internationally recognised fashion designers. Plus, an up-and-coming designer/ visual-media artist from Russia. These are just some of the colourful characters of 'The X - Part 2' involved in the second edition of The X campaign for Spring/Summer 2011.

All share mutual characteristics in their adoption of contemporary technology to enhance their individual lifestyles. Each is recognized for their strength of character and unique artistic output. 'The X' collects this group of leading edge innovators in a series of portraits and offer insight into their worlds. All of 'The X' individuals have a Leica camera with GPS tracking to monitor their movements. Follow their latest work, track the activities in each host city by traveling through their profiles and be inspired by their personal city guide recommendations.

As a brand, Closed maintains a discreet presence whilst the talent provide the raw materials that will generate interest in their ongoing activities. Ultimately, everything leads back to 'The X', Closed's innovative pocket design.
